California Poppy Seeds (Eschscholzia californica)

Plant them in your garden and enjoy a piece of California all summer long. The California Poppy is the official state flower of California. Poppies carpets whole coastal hillsides up and down the Pacific coast, creating one of the most famous natural wildflower displays in the world, usually in April. Poppies grow best in poor soils and are very drought tolerant. A blooming plant is somewhat frost-resistant, and often reblooms nicely in fall meadows. Flowers close in cloudy weather.
